YoVille

How to Play YoVille on Facebook
Like the Sims? Welcome to YoVille on Facebook! This application, created by Zynga, is a simple version of the popular “Sims” PC game. If you desire to become a cartoon version of yourself in a low-tech virtual world, this may be the game for you. Use these guidelines to explore YoVille and see if it’s the place for you!
-

Make yourself!
Step 1:
After you have added the YoVille application to your Facebook, you need to create your alternate self. Building your avatar, your virtual self, is easy. Simply choose skin color, hair style, eyes and clothing and your done. Basic wardrobe choices are included, but can be expanded later as you collect YoVille “coins” and do some shopping at the Clothing Store in town.-

Your home away from home!
Step2:
Decorate your Home Sweet Home. Every “Yo” has a home, which initially is an apartment and comes complete with 3 rooms, basic furniture in inventory and a security lock. To place furniture in your rooms, click the “Edit Room” to see what is available and drag it into place. Make sure to Save your changes AND lock your room with the lock in the lower right hand corner. Many people have lost precious items from their homes by leaving it unlocked when they leave! Don’t worry if it seems small – as you gain levels, you’ll be awarded more rooms and hallways to expand until you have enough to buy a house – or two.
Time for friends
Step 3:
Being a social-networking site, visiting friends is one of the first jobs of your new Yo. Each time you visit a friends (which you must have invited to YoVille, of course), you get YoVille coins for interacting with them. You can dance, kiss, joke, fight, message or give a gift. As all Facebook game lovers know, visiting your friends each day and leaving messages gives you a nice steady income of coins which are affectionately called “coin runs”!Step 4:

Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to YoVille I go!
Like the real world, along with fun and friends comes work. Each “daily” visit to the YoVille Widget Factory gives you an opportunity to “work” for coins. Since a day in YoVille is 6 hours, you can work more than once a day, which is a great way to earn coins faster. The more friends you invite to be on your “work crew”, the higher you climb the virtual corporate ladder and the more coins you earn per shift. Thank goodness “work” here simply means clicking a button! At higher levels, you are also given the choice between earning only coins or less coins but also a chance to win something rare. Sometimes it’s worth it to take a chance…but not if you really need the coins. You can also ask your friends to help you with a job in YoVille, which will publish your request on your friends’ walls and you’ll get more coins if they come to your rescue!
- Step 5:
Now that you’ve got your look, your friends and your job, what more is there to do in YoVille? Plenty! As long as you have plenty of coins, you can do the town and find plenty of fascinating things to do, including buying new outfits at the Clothing Store, buy more furniture at YoDepot, gamble at the Casino, Race motorcycles at the Speedway and many, many more! Everyone can play all the facets of YoVille with all free coins earned and won in YoVille, but if you want more fun with less effort, there is always the YoCash option. Most Facebook applications have the option to “buy” application coins with real money and YoVille is no exception. Using Paypal, credit cards or participating in “deal offers”, you can use your real money to buy YoCash and buy exclusive YoCash YoVille items. This isn’t a recommended option, since you’ll have nothing to show for your real money but cartoon coins that you can’t cash out, but if you have money to burn, YoVille will be happy to oblige! - Step 6:
So, if you find yourself needing a virtual neighborhood fix in the community of Facebook or simply want to buy the house of your dreams, YoVille is a great place to try! - Information from ehow.com
